DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users; read more at Wikipedia.

Since find2follow relies on Twitter’s API to find you new friends, we also have been affected. So if you find some people who you’re already friends with, this DDoS attack is probably the reason. find2follow has been designed not to present your current friends in your search result set.

The Twitter developers have been working hard to mitigate the problem, and we believe they will achieve this goal soon.

Thank you.

find2follow featured on socialmedian

find2follow featured on socialmedian

find2follow featured on rutwitter

find2follow featured on rutwitter:
Great, rutwitter is all about twitter in Russia. There’s already a lot of buzz around celebrities on Twitter, and it’s not hard to find really famous movie actors & actresses, basketball players, TV showmen, Web stars, singers, and politicians. Not to mention business and bot accounts.

Typically, one would be more interested in finding his or her neighbor, classmate, colleague, close friend or cousin. These people might be on Twitter and you don’t actually know that.

Therefore, we’ve put live a new feature called ‘search filters’, which is a collapsible panel underneath the textbox where you type your Twitter username in. This panel will group all filters that are meant to make your search results even more relevant to you.

Currently, there’s only one filter in there, called ‘less celebrities’. By checking it, find2follow will do its best to filter out famous people you may not be interested in. However, if you do wanna find the stars, that’s okay. All you need to do is uncheck this filter.

Please let us know how you like it. It took me a while before I was able to filter out the simplest ones out there, and I’m happy today to share with everyone the 105 Twitter apps I found to have a clean and minimal design that compliments the simplicity of their single function.”

minor improvements on the API

We’ve just released some minor improvements on the API. Firstly, two HTTP status codes have been included: 405 (Method Not Allowed) and 406 (Not Acceptable). The idea is to facilitate debugging, and to provide more detailed output.

Secondly, the API now expects an HTTP header called ‘Accept’, which is used to specify the media-type that is acceptable for the response. The find2follow API currently accepts JSON (‘application/json’), but new types might be included in the future.

That’s it. We’ll keep enhancing our API, so that you can develop your app on top of a reliable and robust platform. Check out the super-brief API specs.

hourly limit increased (a lot!)

So find2follow took off, and it’s been crazy. We’ve experienced some side effects from the recent user base growth, which is exactly the sort of headache we were looking for :)

find2follow used to be constrained by Twitter itself, so unfortunately some of you came across the following message: “We’ve reached our hourly limit given by Twitter”.

Therefore, we got in touch with the guys at Twitter, and the good news is that we’ve been whitelisted. It means that our current hourly limit has increased a lot. In fact, I’d say that constraints are gone!

If you were one of those who got that message, you may consider yourself lucky, because nobody will ever see that message again! :)

Thanks for trying find2follow out!

find2follow community space

find2follow community space:
share questions, ideas, problems, and praises with the dev team as well as other users

"Scrum is about making things visible so that you can make common sense decisions"

“Scrum is about making things visible so that you can make common sense decisions”

- Ken Schwaber

Listening to Kings of Leon while coding new features

Listening to Kings of Leon while coding new features

SWAT / team of pigs

Chicken: Hey, why don't we open a restaurant?
